GUER-RIL-LA
ADJECTIVE
/ɡəˈrɪl.ə/
: referring to actions or activities performed in an impromptu way, often without authorization.
MISSION OBJECTIVE
Boston’s Black creative scene continues to be unrecognized, dismissed, and ignored by mainstream and even local media, when in reality, there is a renaissance taking place on the streets of Mattapan, Roxbury, Dorchester, and beyond, similar to that of Harlem in the 1920s.
Guerrilla Mag is a guerrilla publishing effort rising from Dorchester, MA. We speak to and for the underground and the self-starters.
Guerrilla Mag serves as an archiving project with a mission to fully capture and remember this renaissance period.
We highlight and cover fashion, politics, and culture directly from the streets, featuring the BIPOC femmes bringing it all to life. With Guerrilla Mag, revolution is now in color.
